Fall River Mills Vets Hall Roof Budget Amendment

RECOMMENDATION

Take the following actions: (1) Approve a budget amendment transferring appropriations in the amount of $35,000 in the Veterans Hall budget for the Fall River Mills Veterans Hall roof replacement; and (2) approve a budget amendment increasing appropriations and revenue by $35,000 in the Land, Buildings and Improvements budget for the Fall River Mills Veterans Hall roof replacement.

SUMMARY

Budget amendments are recommended to complete the roof replacement project at the Fall River Mills Veterans Hall.

DISCUSSION

The Fall River Mills Veterans Hall roof leaks.  The Fiscal Year 2016/17 budget contains $35,000 to replace the roof.  The costs need to be capitalized through LB&I.  Budget amendments are recommended to transfer the budgeted funds in the Veterans Hall budget unit to the LB&I budget unit.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board may decline to approve the budget amendments. All County capital costs are required to flow through LB&I.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT

The Auditor-Controller has approved this budget amendment.  The County Administrative Office has reviewed this recommendation.

FINANCING

Adequate resources are included in the Adopted FY 2016/17 Veterans Hall budget to transfer funds into the LB&I budget.  There is no additional General Fund impact.
