RECOMMENDATION

Appoint Ann Morningstar as the Supervisorial District 4 representative to the Public Health Advisory Board to fill  a vacant term to March 2020.

DISCUSSION

The Public Health Advisory Board consists of 15 members;  five appointees  representing each Supervisorial Districts and 10 at large appointees.   The District appointees must reside in the district and be registered to vote in the district.  The previous District 4 appointee's term expired March 2017.  The Clerk of the Board posted the required Notice of Vacancy, a copy of the Affidavit of Posting is on file in the Clerk of the Board's office. 

The Public Health Advisory Board is an advisory body that provides recommendations to the Health and Human Services Agency in an effort to address public health issues affecting the community.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board of Supervisors may deny the request, however, this will leave the Public Health Advisory Board with vacancies. 

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT

The County Administrative Office has reviewed the recommendation. 

FINANCING

There is no General Fund impact with the recommended action.
