Mental Health Building Interior Finishes Project – Notice of Completion

RECOMMENDATION

Approve and authorize the Public Works Director to sign a Notice of Completion for the Mental Health Building Interior Finishes Project, Contract No. 610882, and record it within 15 days of actual completion of the work.

SUMMARY

The Mental Health Building Interior Finishes Project is nearly complete.

DISCUSSION

On September 13, 2016, Euro Style Management, Inc. was awarded the contract for the Mental Health Building Interior Finishes Project. The project renovated interior flooring, paint, and signage in the Mental Health Building on Breslauer Way. The project is estimated to be completed on March 26, 2017.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board may decline to file a Notice of Completion. The lien period would extend for 90 days instead of 30 days. Final payment to the contractor would be delayed by 60 days.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT

HHSA initiated the project and has been involved throughout.  The recommendation has been reviewed by the County Administrative Office.

FINANCING

The total estimated cost of the project is $1,316,000. Adequate funds were included in the Adopted FY 2016/17 budgets.  There is no additional General Fund impact.
