RECOMMENDATION

Appoint District 3 Supervisor Mary Rickert as a candidate to the Sierra Nevada Conservancy Board.

DISCUSSION

The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (Conservancy) Board's Northern Sub Region is compromised of Shasta, Lassen, and Modoc counties.  Each County Board of Supervisors appoints a representative to participate on the Conservancy either as a Board Member, Alternate, or County Liaison.  For the past four years Shasta County's District 3 Supervisor has acted as the Board Member under the agreement of the three participating counties. 

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could choose not to appoint Supervisor Rickert and seek another candidate.
