SUMMARYIt is recommended that the Board appoint property owners to serve on the CABs in the various CSAs.

DISCUSSIONCounty Service Areas provide water, sewer, drainage and street lighting services in rural areas. The Board of Supervisors is the governing body. Board Resolution No. 84-6 established CABs to provide the Board with local input. Each CAB has seven seats. The Board may appoint property owners to serve on the CABs. Property owners are invited to nominate CAB candidates annually. Elections are held if willing candidates exceed the number of vacant seats. This year’s candidate pool and election results are as shown on attached Exhibit B.
