SUBJECT:
Take the following actions: (1) Receive an update from the Acting County Executive Officer on County issues and consider action on specific legislation related to Shasta County's legislative platform; (2) approve the following letters of support requested by the Shasta Fire Safe Council concerning projects related to wildfire prevention efforts in Shasta County: (a) "Wildfire Prevention Grant" from CAL FIRE, to significantly improve public safety during wildfires; (b) "$400,000 Fire Prevention Grant" from CAL FIRE, to conduct and expand a Curbside Chipping Program; and (c) "$20,000 Community Grant", from Sustainable Forestry Initiatives, to reach and educate the public on wildfires through community education and outreach; and (3) receive Supervisors' reports on countywide issues. |
