Approve and authorize the Public Works Director to sign a Notice of Completion for the “Shasta County Jail Door Replacement and Modification Project,” Contract No. 610534, and record it within 15 days of actual completion. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
On June 29, 2021, CML Security, LLC was awarded the contract for construction on the Jail Door Replacement and Modification Project. The project in general consists of supplying, installing, and modifying new and existing security doors, locks and other door accessories. The work is nearly complete. |
| | | | | | | | ALTERNATIVES
The Board may decline to authorize the filing of a Notice of Completion. The lien period would extend for 90 days instead of 30 days. Final payment to the contractor would be delayed by 60 days. |

The Recommendation has been reviewed by the County Administrative Office. |
| | | | | | | | FISCAL IMPACT
The total estimated cost of the project is $1,900,000. Sufficient appropriations were included in the Adopted Fiscal Year 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 Land Buildings & Improvements budgets for the project. Accumulated Capital Outlay funded the project. |
