Approve and authorize Public Works Director to sign a Notice of Completion for the “Riverland Drive (2H16) Shoulder Widening,” Contract No.702003, and record it within 15 days of actual completion. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
On June 28, 2022, J.F. Shea Construction, Inc. was awarded the contract for construction on the Riverland Drive Shoulder Widening project. The project in general consists of adding paved shoulders to the road. The work is nearly complete. |
| | | | | | | | ALTERNATIVES
The Board may decline to authorize the filing of a Notice of Completion. The lien period would extend for 90 days instead of 30 days. Final payment to the contractor would be delayed by 60 days. |

The Recommendation has been reviewed by the County Administrative Office. |
| | | | | | | | FISCAL IMPACT
The total cost of this project is estimated to be $1,466,000. Sufficient appropriations are included in the Adopted Fiscal Year 2022-23 Roads budget. Federal Highway Administration Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funds will provide up to $924,000. The County’s allotment of Federal Regional Surface Transportation Program funds will provide another $312,000. Gas Tax revenue will cover the remaining portion. |
