| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
Approve and authorize the Public Works Director to sign a Notice of Completion for the “Mental Health and Public Health Buildings Roofing Project,” Contract No. 111016/111021, and record it within 15 days of actual completion of the work. |
| | | | | | | | SUMMARY
Portions of the Mental Health and Public Health buildings on Breslauer Way have been re-roofed. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The Mental Health and Public Health buildings are located at 2640 & 2650 Breslauer Way. Both buildings had roof leaks. On June 14, 2016, the Board awarded the Mental Health and Public Health Buildings Roofing project to California Single Ply, Inc. New roofing was installed on portions of both buildings. Twenty-year manufacturer’s warranties were provided. Five new HVAC package units were also installed. |

The Board may decline to file a Notice of Completion. The lien period would extend for 90 days instead of 30 days. Final payment to the contractor would be delayed by 60 days. |

The recommendation has been reviewed by the County Administrative Office. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCING
The total cost of this project, including design, construction, inspection and contingencies, is estimated to be $700,000. Adequate funds have been included in the Adopted 2016/17 LB&I budget. There is no additional General Fund impact. |
