Approve and authorize the Public Works Director to sign a Notice of Completion for the “Adult Probation Building Roofing Project,” Contract No. 610434, and record it within 15 days of actual completion of the work. |

The Adult Probation Building has a new roof and three new HVAC package units. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The Adult Probation Building (1626 Court Street) had some roof leaks. On August 23, 2016, the Board awarded the Adult Probation Building Roofing Project to Wait Roofing and Seamless Gutter, Inc. A new roof was installed with a 20-year manufacturer’s warranty on labor and materials. Several package HVAC units had to be removed to install the new roof so they were replaced as well. |

The Board may decline to file a Notice of Completion. The lien period would extend for 90 days instead of 30 days. Final payment to the contractor would be delayed by 60 days. |

The recommendation has been reviewed by the County Administrative Office. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCING
The total cost of this project, including design, construction, inspection and contingencies, is estimated to be $120,000. Adequate funds have been included in the Adopted 2016/17 LB&I budget. There is no additional General Fund impact. |
