In this spirit, the Board is being asked to recognize the Employee of the Month, who has been nominated by the Employee Recognition Committee. This nomination is based on a review of all nominations using the selection criteria provided for in the Employee Recognition Policy. It is the recommendation of the Employee Recognition Committee that Ms. Christine Wolfe, Assistant Social Worker, Health and Human Services Agency, Public Health Department, be recognized as the October 2016 Employee of the Month.
Ms.Wolfe recognized the potential impact of a staffing shortage the California Children's Services (CSS) program experienced recently. Ms. Wolfe rose to the challenge of keeping CCS services moving forward so that care for chronically ill and disabled children was not unduly delayed.

She quickly communicated with families and providers and made them aware of the difficulty being experienced by the department.
Ms. Wolfe typically has a case load of a little over 300 cases and took on the responsibility of managing over 900 cases without compromising her work ethic or program standards.
Ms. Wolfe is a true inspiration in displaying the values of the agency. Her compassion for children was the catalyst that gave rise to in the excellent service she provided to the families of Shasta County.
