RECOMMENDATION

Approve a budget amendment increasing appropriations and revenue by $4,944 in the Beagle Street Permanent Road Division Administration budget for operations.

SUMMARY

A budget is proposed for a new Permanent Road Division (PRD).

DISCUSSION

On April 11, 2017, the Board formed the Beagle Street PRD.  Annual parcel charges will total $4,944.  The PRD was formed after the overall Fiscal Year 2017/18 budget was drafted.  A budget amendment is proposed to set up a budget unit for the new PRD.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board may decline to approve the budget amendment.  There will be no budget authority for the PRD to operate in Fiscal Year 2017/18.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT

The Auditor-Controller has reviewed the recommendation. The County Administrative Office has reviewed this recommendation.

FINANCING

All PRD appropriations are supported through assessments.  There is no General Fund impact.
