| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
Relieve the Health and Human Services Agency Director of accountability for capital assets no longer present in the Health and Human Services Agency’s inventory. |
| | | | | | | | SUMMARY
Health and Human Services Agency staff have conducted a thorough review of all of the capital assets in its inventory. This review is now complete, and there are five capital assets that the department cannot locate. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) staff conducted a review of its capital asset inventory which revealed that five capital assets were no longer present in the inventory. HHSA currently has 230 capital assets under its control. This review included a physical inventory by HHSA - Business & Support Services staff. During the review, antiques that were located were either relocated to the HHSA - Business & Support Services office or assigned to specific staff members in the offices where the antiques are physically located. Three antiques were unable to be located during the physical inventory. During previous inventory reviews, chairs matching the description of the three antiques were located, however during the physical inventory those items previously identified did not have inventory capital asset tags attached. The department believes that the two other items were unintentionally surplused. Below is a list of the assets that staff were unable to locate.
