Approve and authorize the Public Works Director to sign a Notice of Completion for the “Mental Health Basement Remodel Project,” Contract No. 610446, and record it within 15 days of actual completion of the work. |

| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
On June 20, 2017, Twin Builders, Inc. was awarded the contract for the Mental Health Basement Remodel Project. The remodel has created office space with ADA compliant parking and restrooms. Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) staff are to occupy the remodeled space. The work on this project is estimated to be completed on November 17, 2017. |

The Board may decline to file a Notice of Completion. The lien period would extend for 90 days instead of 30 days. Final payment to the contractor would be delayed by 60 days. |

The recommendation has been reviewed by the County Administrative Office. |

The total cost of the Mental Health Basement Remodel Project is estimated to be $1,200,000. Adequate funds were included in the Adopted FY 2017/18 LB&I Budget. There is no additional General Fund impact. |
