RECOMMENDATION

Present a certificate of recognition to Department of Support Services Chief Fiscal Officer Christine E. Orr on the occasion of her retirement after more than 18 years of service to Shasta County.

SUMMARY

Shasta County Support Services Department recognizes and honors Christine E. Orr for her years of service with Shasta County, beginning in 1999 as an Accounting Auditor III and ending her career with Shasta County as Chief Fiscal Officer for Support Services.

DISCUSSION

Ms. Orr has been the Chief Fiscal Officer at Support Services since 2012. In this position Ms. Orr has always gone above and beyond to minimize expenses and contribute guidance to County Departments regarding budgets, contracts, and fiscal processes. In her years with Shasta County she has seen many changes and has always been reliable and unwavering in her ability to represent Shasta County in a warm, professional manner.

Her expertise and knowledge as a Chief Fiscal Officer, provided her a platform to train, teach and mentor others through her years here. The Support Services Department is saddened at the retiring of Ms. Orr, yet incredibly excited for the new direction her life is taking.

FINANCING

The cost of recognizing this employee is nominal and is authorized in Administrative Policy 1-118. There is no additional General Fund impact associated with approval of the recommendation.
