| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
On behalf of County Service Area (CSA) No. 11-French Gulch Water adopt a resolution which authorizes the Public Works Director to: (1) Submit funding applications to the California State Water Resources Control Board; and (2) execute any resulting funding agreements in an amount not to exceed $500,000 for various potential improvements in CSA No. 11-French Gulch Water. |

| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
CSA No. 11-French Gulch Water provides potable water to 85 homes, businesses and schools in French Gulch. The system was constructed in 1992. Water is supplied from Clear Creek.
The State Revolving Fund (SRF) is a potential funding source for engineering and capital investments. Potential improvements include tank recoating, meter replacement, controls and treatment works. The proposed resolution is the first step in the funding process. |

The Board may decline to seek SRF funding at this time. Funding alternatives are limited. |
| | | | | | | | OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
County Counsel has approved the resolution as to form. County Counsel will review funding agreements prior to execution. The recommendation has been reviewed by the County Administrative Office. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCING
The Planning Grant may fund up to $500,000 in studies and plan development, including staff time. Adequate funds to operate the system and pursue the proposed grant are included in the Adopted FY 2017/18 CSA budget. There is no General Fund impact. |
