| | | | | | | | SUMMARY
Right of way acquisition is proposed for the Old 44 Drive at Oak Run Creek Bridge Replacement Project. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The County is preparing to replace the Old 44 Drive at Oak Run Creek Bridge. The existing 20-foot wide by 82.5-foot long steel bridge is functionally obsolete. A 33-foot wide by 127-foot-long concrete box girder bridge is proposed. The road will be closed to through traffic during construction. The project requires the acquisition of four permanent right of way parcels and two Temporary Construction Easements. Agreements have been reached with the remaining two property owners. |
| | | | | | | | ALTERNATIVES
The Board may decline to acquire right of way. The existing bridge would remain. |
| | | | | | | | OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
Caltrans oversees the project funding. County Counsel has approved the contracts as to form. Risk Management has reviewed and approved the contracts. The recommendation has been reviewed by the County Administrative Office. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCING
The total project cost estimate is $2,800,000. Federal funds will cover 88.53%. Adequate funds are included in the Adopted FY 2017/18 Roads budget. There is no General Fund impact. |
