| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION
Approve a Fiscal Year 2017-18 budget amendment to support costs for Farm Advisor parking lot repair and overlay to: (1) Increase appropriations and revenue by $13,900 in the Farm Advisor budget; and (2) reduce Accumulated Capital Outlay by $13,900. |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
The Shasta County Farm Advisor is an off-campus education program conducted by the University of California, in cooperation with Shasta County, which provides agricultural education and information within the County. The Shasta County Farm Advisor resides in an older County-owned building at 1851 Hartnell Avenue in Redding. As part of the cooperative agreement, Shasta County maintains and repairs the facility. This budget amendment will appropriate funds to repair and apply an overlay to the parking lot if the project is not completed in FY 2016-17. |
| | | | | | | | ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to approve this recommendation. |
| | | | | | | | OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
The Farm Advisor collaborated with the County Administrative Office on the recommendation. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCING
Project funding is included in the FY 2016-17 Adjusted Budget; however, it’s possible the project will not be completed by June 30, 2017. This necessitates availability of funds in FY 2017-18 to complete the project. |
