Approve and authorize the Public Works Director to sign a Notice of Completion for the Mental Health Basement Abatement Project, Contract No. 610446A, and record it within 15 days of actual completion of the work. |

| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION
On April 11, 2017, PARC Specialty Contractors, Inc. was awarded a contract for the Mental Health Basement Abatement Project. The project consisted of removing all asbestos and lead containing materials in approximately 3,800 square feet of the interior space. The work was completed on May 26, 2017. A subsequent construction project will go to bid shortly. |

The Board may decline to file a Notice of Completion. The lien period would extend for 90 days instead of 30 days. Final payment to the contractor would be delayed by 60 days. |

The County Administrative Office has reviewed this recommendation. |

The total cost of this project is estimated to be $175,000. Adequate funds are included in the Adopted Mental Health 2016/17 budget. There is no additional General Fund impact. |
