The California Food and Agricultural Code requires all County Agricultural Commissioners to prepare an annual report summarizing the value of the county's agricultural production.
The total value of Shasta County's agricultural production increased slightly in 2016 to $81,133,000. The increase in value of the nursery stock industry was offset by the decline in livestock values. The walnut industry saw values decrease by 30%. Both the winegrape and apiary industry saw strong production and price in the 2016 year. |
