RECOMMENDATION

Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign an amendment, effective the date of signing, to the agreement with Redding Record Searchlight amending Appendix A, for advertising services and retaining the maximum compensation of $100,000 and the term August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017.

DISCUSSION

Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign an amendment to the agreement with Redding Record Searchlight effective the date of signing, amending Appendix A, for advertising services and retaining the maximum compensation of $100,000 and the term of August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board may choose to not approve the amendment, but that would result in a discrepancy between the fees being charged and the contracted amounts. If this amendment is not approved, the Redding Record Searchlight could choose to not run our legal ads which would affect our local coverage required for many of the County public notices.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT

County Counsel has approved the amendment as to form.  Risk Management has reviewed and approved the amendment.  The recommendation has been reviewed by the County Administrative Office. 

FINANCING

There is no additional General Fund impact from this amendment. The funds involved in the agreement are included in the FY 2016-17 budgets for the various Departments who will be utilizing the agreement.
